You do not need special clothes, a gym or a coach to start. You need a tablet or a laptop with a camera, a space about two metres wide, and thirty seconds.
First, open the site and scan your FitPass card. The camera reads the code and the app knows who you are. If you do not have a card yet, you can log in with your username instead.
Next, choose a movement. Squats and jumping jacks are the most popular, but high knees are easier if the floor is slippery. Then choose a time: thirty, sixty or ninety seconds. Beginners should start with thirty.
Now stand back until your whole body appears on the screen. This is the step most students forget, and it is the reason most first sessions fail. If the light is behind you, turn around so the window is in front of you.
When the timer starts, move at a comfortable speed. The counter adds one point each time you complete the movement correctly. A green label means your posture is good; an orange label means you should go lower or straighter. Nobody else sees these labels.
At the end, your score appears and your streak grows by one day. The whole thing takes less than a minute, and you can do it again tomorrow before class.
