About FitForm League
A free app that turns a school phone into a PE coach and an English tutor — built by three secondary-school students in Hanoi for their own classmates, then opened up for everyone.
What it does
Open the camera, pick an exercise and move. A pose model running inside the browser watches the joint angles and counts a repetition only when the whole movement is completed. Points go to a class leaderboard, so a PE lesson becomes a league table instead of a chore.
The second half is English. FitForm Learn holds 300 readings we wrote ourselves and 3,004 vocabulary entries, every one with a pronunciation. Vocabulary comes back on a spaced-repetition schedule, readings carry comprehension, inference and open questions, and written work can be marked — quickly by rule, or in depth by an AI model.
The camera never leaves your device
The pose model is downloaded into your browser and runs there — no frame, image or video is ever uploaded or stored anywhere. When a session ends, the server receives only a small record: which exercise, how many repetitions, how long. We show no advertising, never sell or share student data, and never invent users — the practice companions that keep an empty board from looking dead are labelled 🤖 and excluded from every statistic. You can check all of this yourself in your browser's Network tab while a session is running.
Why it is free
The whole point was that a classmate with an ordinary phone and no money should get the same coach as anyone else. Reading does not even require an account. It stays affordable because the heavy part — pose detection — happens on the user's own device rather than on a server, which is why a student project can pay the hosting bill.
